stupid question

windows 2000 - how can I get into bios setup to change
boot drive from hard drive to CD drive. need to re-
install OS and del del del won't work, and F8does not
give me any options to do this. any help appreciated.

It depends totally on the make of the computer, or more specifically the
make of the BIOS.

Often it will say "Press xxx to enter setup" on the startup screen. If not,
you need to find out the key for your computer.

BIOS setup is nothing to do with Win2K. You enter it shortly after
power up by pressing a key (or key combination). Often it's the DEL
key but it varies. The opening screen at power-up should tell you, or
consult your computer/motherboard manual.

Press del (delete) for Award Bios or f2 for Phoenix bios
as your system boots. Most phoneix bios allow you to
choose boot order. find the Boot parameters and choose
boot order, usually floppy (removable media), CD ROM,
then Hard drive.
