STTNG: A final Unity

hi,

i bought the game "STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION: A
FINAL UNITY" about 4 years ago and it worked fine on my
old computer windows 95. however when i
recently changed to a new computer running windows XP the
game would not install and gave me the message:

Files/buffers Needed=20/20 detected=40/0

it said i should fix the files=x and buffers=x in the
config.sys file. I did this by chnagning the config.nt file and nothing
happned. I have also tried the compatibility modes. no luck.
any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

So far, no go. Managed to get it to load and use sound, but as soon as the
bridge scene comes up, the mouse appears trapped (PS/2).

Checking the Net and other newsgroups, so far, no one has it working yet.

I used Compatibility Mode on the setup. It will install fine, but the game
doesn't work. It required direct access to the mouse and video card, neither
of which is ever allowed in NT (including XP).

the compatibility is not an issue. it asks for the cuiorrect file and
buffer ratio which i cannot set
