Dear all,
Shortly after installing XP Service pack 2 in my computer (Windows XP
Professional) this message suddenly started to appear every time I close
Outlook Express 6 (working offline or online) - full details of version:
6.00.2900.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158).
"To free up disk space Outlook Express can compact messages. This may take
up to a few minutes".
Below the message you have these 3 options:
Don’t show me this again.
OK Cancel
As soon as you click “Cancel†or on the “X†on right top corner of the
message, it closes. When opened it operates as usual.
Apparently, it is not interfering with Outlook Express 6, but I’ve
investigated and read dozens of postings on Newsgroups and I have not found
any reference to this message.
Does anybody even know how I can stop this message or why it keeps appearing
even if you click don’t show me this again.
Thank you very much in advance for your assistance.
Enrique
