strange internet explorer problem

Hello,

I am using IE 6 on Windows XP SP1 with all the latest updates installed
till June 2006 for both Windows and IE.

There is a strange problem occuring with my IE since last few days.
When I open a URL in IE, it opens fine, but the IF window hags for some
5-10 seconds, and then it works for some 5-10 seconds ,and againg it
hangs for 5-10 seconds, and the cycle goes on.

This is cuasing a lot of problem for me in useing internet.

Does anybody have solution for this problem? Please help me to solve
this problem.

Though I prefer IE than any other browser, I am using FireFox to post
this message, because I was not able to post a message using IE.

Could this be some kind of spyware/virus/tojan? I have checked my PC
with Symantec antivirus, but it was not able to find anything. Thanks
in advance for any help.

Regards,

Bhavik
