Strange cursor behaviour.

I use the tab control to set the tabbing sequence, but sometimes I use the
code such as "DoCmd.GotoControl.Combo55".

This has always worked, but now I have the cursor going to the desired
control, but on entering this the contol is fully selected (ie black) and
this seems to effect the "Me.Requery" code behind it.

Is there some code I should use to make sure the cursor enters the control
normally?
