STRANGE BEHAVIOUR

I seem to have a XP system gone mad.
I have had this strange behaviour since the prodigious security updates have
been landing at my PC.
The mouse suddenly takes off to all the extremeties of the desktop.
And of late seems to be shutting down browsers and the like.
Any ideas?

Not only that strange behavior, but try this on for size If you install the
newest update, “as of yesterday†from Microsoft for windows XP SP your user
profile will be altered so that ALL of your pictures, documents, music and
everything else will revert to a DEFAULT state and all the work you have
saved will be long gone . System Restore does nothing to get you stuff back.
going to microsoft is useless , So back everything up on a different hard
drive and disconnect it before you update. "This was the only thing that save
four and more years of work" DON'T UPDATE WINDOWS XP SP 3

Slowly the powers that be have been trying to fix all of these darn bugs, but
their fixes start a all new set of problems. for example, in my main system i
have had USB read problems so I went to Microsoft help so I can fix this and
be able to store files on flash and hard drives. i followed the article
number 314634. At the time, it seemed easy enough.I followed the instructions
and backed up the registry and set a restore point and then performed the
operations according to the instructions. Now windows will not run ,it goes
to the login screen but then it sometimes can't find the disk or I just
can't login."It just keeps popping back on the login prompt" I can't even get
to the system restore to go back to it's old broken condition. I'll probably
have to pull the drive out,put it into an enclosure and dig out files I want
to keep and reformat the drive.
