Strange behavior on clicks

I'm running 2003 on Vista SP1. I've been seeing some strange behavior when
I click on things in Powerpoint that I don't remember seeing before. Any
ideas what might be causing? Some of these things are REALLY irritating.

* When I click on an object, it very frequently MOVES the object down
slightly.

* When I right-click on a graphic object, instead of giving me the normal
pop-up menu, it often displays a small "Move Here / Copy Here / Cancel"
pop-up. Right-clicking on the object again displays the normal menu.

* When I click in a text or table object, instead of placing the cursor at
the point where I click, it selects everything in the object up to that
point. I generally have to click THREE TIMES before it does the right
thing.

Help??

Thanks,
Gary

Bingo!! With that "disable desktop composition" checked, PPT works exactly
as it should. Many thanks Luc! That will save me tons of frustration.

That is an utterly bizarre solution for an "objects move when I click on
them" problem. I can't find an explanation for this "desktop composition"
anywhere. What exactly is going on? Is there any better way to fix it
that doesn't reconfigure Windows every time I run Powerpoint!?

I thought I already had Aero Glass turned off, so I'm not sure why this
caused a problem....
