Storing Word Documents

Is there a place in Access to store word documents? I
have two pages of instructions I would like to store
under a help section. Please let me know if you have any
ideas on how I could accomplish this.
Thanks!

Hi Katie,

Perhaps the simplest way to do what you need would be to leave the Word
document as a separate file, in the same folder as your database. Put a
command button on your form, put the name and location of your document
into the button's Hyperlink property, and change the button's caption
property to "Help".

You can embedd a Word document into an Access database,
but I have 10 years experience in Access, and doing this
is the worst thing you can do.

Heres why:
Embedding a Word document VASTLY increases the size of
the Access database

and secondly when you upgrade to Access 2000 or 2002, you
may not be able to open the Word document in Access.

A better way to do this is to leave the document on your
hard drive and use hyperlinks in Access to open them

I use this a lot and it works great.
