Stopping Users from installing

Hi,

I'm trying to prevent users from installing unauthorised
programs into my pcs. How do i go about doing it???? I
given them admin rights bcos of the duties they are
performing.

As soon as you give them the admin rights they can do anything they
like. You cannot do anything to prevent this, except removing them
from the Administrators group.

This is like giving someone "god" power and then preventing him from
changing the weather

I had the same problem, you did not indicate how manyt
users you have? Second you need to stop giving therm
adminsiters rights and start giving them access to
programs which will prevent some of your headaches.
unfortunately my experience with Windows Xp is that it is
full of wholes and giving users administrtative rights
just open's it further. I use a commercial program
called XP Protector to limit my users rights. It does
not invovle any programming knowledge on your part to use.
