Stop Printing One Cell On A Chart

Marc

Hi.

I have a stacked area chart, where one of the items being
charted stops in the middle of the chart. The problem is
that instead of just stopping at say $100, their is a
triangular wedge going from $100 to $0 in the period after
the data should stop for this item.

Anyone have an idea to trick Excel into not printing this
little triangle?

Thanks! Marc

If your category axis has a date scale, you can enter two values for the
same date, with the second value being 0 (or a blank). This will cause
the chart to dive vertically to zero. For a series that doesn't have to
dive, enter the same value twice:

Dive No Dive
8/10 100 125
8/11 105 122
8/11 0 122
8/12 0 127

Change from a category to a date scale by selecting the chart, choosing
Chart Options from the Chart menu, and changing what's selected under
Category X Axis.
