Stop HP Autoupdate

Hi,

I have a HP printer driver autoupdate program installed, but the user keeps
getting a box appear every so often telling him he must have administration
rights to run the program. How can I stop him getting this message, or do I
have to log in as administrator and uninstall the program ?

Thanks

Log in as the user and do Runas (Administrator) to either disable the update
or uninstall it. If you can't do Runas from the user account, you'll need
to disable the startup from the Administrator account. You can do this in
the registry.

Thanks for quick reply

How do I do this ? "Runas (Administrator)" I was hoping to be able to run
MSCONFIG as the user and just disable it on startup. But I can't run MSCONFIG
unless I log in as Administrator.

You can only Runas if you are able to use Run in the user account. That's
why I said it depends on what you allow your users to do. If you have
disabled the user's ability to Run (a good idea), then you will need to log
on as Administrator.
