The complete Stop is 0x00000050 (0xFFA012F0, 0x00000000,
0x804B0BE0, 0x00000000)
I've scoured Microsoft & the web, and while I can find
plenty on general 0x50 errors, can't find a single thing
on this specific one.
Error appears at every boot, just after the Windows 2000
splash screen disappears.
Tried last known good, same error.
Tried to boot to safe mode, same error.
Swapped hard drives with a working machine, this drive
fails in known good machine, while known good drive works
fine in this shell.

Thanks in advance for any input!

So you've been
http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.php#0x50
and
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=183169

Lacking other info., I'd suspect bad RAM (2 cents worth).

Yup, been there and many others.
Also tried a RAM swap which didn't help.
Looks like she's headed to the reimage pile.
