Can anyone help me from stopping the Enter Network Password window from
popping up several times an hour in Outlook? The fields are already completed
with info, I just keep clicking Save Password Info and enter.

Microsoft Outlook Office 2003
Windows Pro 2003
Norton Security 2005

I'm having this problem also and that support link didn't fix it for me
either.

I noticed lots of people are having this problem all of a sudden. Several
posts in just the last few weeks and the knowledge base article was updated
recently.

What is going on why there is a spike in numbers of people with this issue?
Is there a bad MS hotfix or some new software people have recently started
installing that's breaking the passwords?

Add one more to the list of this suddenly happening. I too deleted the
subkeys as per the microsoft article. But nobody seems to know what to do
when that does not work.

tryed restoring to one month ago but that dind't help. This is getting really
old! Does anyone have any ideas? I don't see much point in trying what they
say to do becouse it looks like it didn't help anyone.

add me to the list....this problem just started for me yesterday (2/1/06) on
two different computers - one using Outlook 2003, the other OE. One thing i
haven't seen in this thread - is it possible the problem isn't with the
applications, but with the mail server the applications are trying to connect
to? personally, my only problems (on two computers with two different mail
accounts) is Yahoo. Anyone else?

This is not an answer, just a reply to help us understand this problem
about this password not being saved in Outlook. I have been through a LOT of
webpages and wasted my day with this very annoying thing. I have not yet
found a decent solution apart from disabling the auto- send/receive . Here is
what i found.

First of all, I have the problem with Outlook 2003 on Windows Xp pro. since
2 days. The only change in my computer that could have "caused" the bug is an
installation of iPod and iTunes software. That's it. But i don't think it is
even related. I use a Yahoo pop3 account and have only this ONE account to
receive mails from. The problem occur when i check my mails or during
auto-checks, in the RECEIVING (so in the pop), not in the sending. Also, it
does not happen (the bug) systematically, every time. It happens during 40%
of the checks. Enough to blow your head off i'd say. Well, the problem, as
was described by a lot of users so far, is that Outlook asks you to confirm
the username and password (with the little "remember the password" box
unchecked) even if you already checked that box in your settings.

Okay! Let me tell you one thing about the REGISTRY SOLUTION, it does not
work. At least for me. And I tried it twice. Same about RESETTING THE
PROFILE, it's not going to help.

So what now? I see that there are more and more people asking about this
bug and some of those have a YAHOO account like me. Mmm.. maby it would be
worth investigating. Maby not. I'm still on the case tho.

Hope it will help out summarize the situation and find a solution about
it... eventually!

I have the same problem, and I think the problem is yahoo's fault.

I have tried all the Microsoft support docs, but the problem continues
to happen.

I emailed yahoo but haven't got a reply yet.

Add another to the list. Started on my PC today Feb 4th. I am not with
Yahoo. I have also tried the regedit thing. Not worked.

My email account, my ISP and Outlook have worked fine ever since I set them
up (over a year ago), This has just starting today out of the blue, like
everyone else.

Is it something we have all just recently done that is causing this?, (such
as download a new set of virus updates from Norton or SpyBOT definitions for
example?)

With me, I open Outlook, and basically the network password pop up box just
keeps coming and coming. Whatever I do, whether I click OK, or re enter the
name and password, whether I click SAVE THE PASSWORD, or anything, it just
keeps popping back up.

When I check the email account details all my password and user name details
are fine.

Please, please post back up here if you find a solution. The window in
front of me is looking very tempting to throw this PC through it at the
moment!!!

Thanks all

I have had the same problem...just started today. I was trying to configure
some wel mail accounts when it began happening. All of my e-mail is webmail.
The little window pops up every time I hit send/receive. Looking for an
answer......pretty disgusting. I'm thankful for even "paid help" when I
have problems with some programs. Is there such a thing with these Guys?

I won't hang around "Outlook" much longer if it doesn't stop.

Out of interest, I have read that this problem is happening with people who
have YAHOO email accounts. I thought this was not the reason for me as I do
not use YAHOO.

BUT, I have noticed that a YAHOO tollbar as appeared all by itself in my
Internet Explorer. Don't know how it got there. IS this possibly part of
the problem?

A friend of mine observed that the BUG itself has a tendancy to happen
every month and only in the first days ...like those we are in... weird stuff
huh?! So yeah... YAHOO ACCOUNT is to blame for the bug and it has to do with
some server stuff i would bet... anyhow, for you who has the prob, hold on
and it will pass! ... maby! .... not! :p

Cheers
