STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}

Could someone please help me, whenever i start up my
computer just before it goes to the user selection menu
the screen goes blue and it comes up STOP: c000021a
{Fatal System Error}
The windows logon process system terminated
unexpectadly with a status of 0x00000080 (0x00000000
0x00000000)
The system has been shut down

I cant load up any c.d or download anything to sort it
because i cant get passed this can someone please help?

I am getting the same error. I viewed the knowledge bases and nothing works. Did you figure it out or can anyone else help?

I'm also getting this error. Specifically when I log out
of one of my usernames.

I hope someone is able to find the solution

I have a Dell Dimension 2350 and had the same error on boot. It would not let me boot into Safe Mode after pressing F8, so here's what I did to correct:
Set bios to boot with CD first, inserted the XP OS CD and it read it first. Chose the Repair Windows option and it took a few minutes, then gave a command prompt.
Once there, I found 2 files similar in name at C:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe and ntoskrnl3.exe.
NOTE: This file changes the Windows bootscreen (splashscreen) which I had tried making my own splash screen by copying a new picture there.
So I deleted the ntoskrnl.exe and renamed ntoskrnl3.exe to the original filename (ntoskrnl.exe). Rebooted and am back to Windows without the "custom" bootscreen.
