Stop 4.7 Opening

How can I stop Messenger 4.7 opening? I now use 6.0 but everytime I look at
newsgroups (which starts Outlook Express) 4.7 starts up. it must be linked
somehow to OE but I can't figure out how.

I'm running XP Pro.

Help.

the MSN-Windows messenger site so I sent it to you in an

It's here, be sure Outlook Express is closed before running/importing:

The downloads to the site should be always accessible, it's just the database that gets busy
(40 connections at once) -- it's in the process of an upgrade right now.
