STMP & Hotmail

Confused. Outlook 2007 creates an STMP version of a contact when I imported
addresses from Hotmail. I take it I have to have a regular contact and then
a STMP version. Can I delete the STMP version?

is msn email the same for Hotmail? I use Hotmail, which I think is POP3

more confused

SMTP contacts are contacts that have SMTP addresses. All Hotmail addresses
are SMTP (i.e., Internet) addresses.

Not true. A "regular" contact can have zero to three email addresses and
those addresses can be either Exchange or SMTP addresses.
Can I delete the STMP version?

Sure, if you want.

Yes.

Hotmail is not POP. MSN _might_ be, but usually not.

Hotmail accounts are HTTP accounts, but that has nothing to do with your
contacts' mail addresses.

where do you see this? you should have the contact in contacts and the
email address in the address book - but its not two copies, just one viewed
differently.
