Still can't find "Help and Support"

Kelly, I tried your fix - but it didn't work. I get the same error message.
Is there another way to fix this problem? Perhaps, I can replace the file
manually (if I knew where it belonged). I have another partition on my
drive with the exact same operating system. Perhaps, I could copy
helpctr.exe from that partition to the one where it doesn't work? Thanks
again........

ORIGINAL MESSAGE: When I click on Start<Help and Support, I get a message
which says that
"Windows cannot find 'helpctr.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly
and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then
click Search." Search finds a number of versions of helpctr.exe - but that
doesn't put a copy of the file where it belongs. The version it finds that
works when I double click on it is in C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Binaries.
Can someone tell me how to correct this problem? Thanks!!!

Simply rt click on helpctr.exe and choose SendTo Desktop as shortcut
or
Go to Start>Run type: regedit and Navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVe rsion\App
Paths\Helpctr.exe

In the right pane, verify that the key is set to the following value:
C:\Windows\PCHealth\Helpctr\Binaries\Helpctr.exe

If this registry entry does not exist, create a new entry. To do this,
follow these steps:

Right-click App Paths, point to New, and then click Key.
Type Helpctr.exe.
In the left pane, click Helpctr.exe.
In the right pane, right-click (Default), and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type
C:\Windows\PCHealth\Helpctr\Binaries\Helpctr.exe, and then click OK.
On the Registry menu, click Exit to quit the Registry Editor.
