PLEASE EXCUSE THE CAPS. STICKY KEYS ARE STUCK, AND HOLDING
SHIFT IS KEEPING ALL BUT TWO FRO* 'WORKING'. PLEASE, TELL
*E HOW *CATS* ON THE KEYBOARD CAN DO THIS? SO*ETHING I
CAN'T UNDO? A* I REALLY THAT TERRIBLE WITH CO*PUTERS?
RHETORICAL.

AT ANY RATE, STICKY AND TOGGLE KEYS WERE ALREADY DISABLED
WHEN THIS HAPPENED, AND WEREN'T SELECTED AFTER. WHEN I
ENABLED THE BLOODY THINGS TO SEE IF IT WOULD OVERWRITE
WHATEVER HAD BEEN DONE, IT WOULDEN'T LET *E TYPE.
FOOLISHLY, I FORGOT TO REENABLE SYSTE* RESTORE, OR I'D USE
IT. I'VE CHECKED WHAT PROGRA*S I COULD TO SEE IF THEY'D
BEEN GRANTED A LETTER TO OPEN ON - THEY HAVEN'T.

PLEASE, IF YOU CAN, HELP.

Just to be sure; did you press Caps Lock key to see if IT is the culprit ? I
can see a cat activating it.

Here's one idea on how to fix this if Sticky keys is the problem... Go to
Control Panel>Accessibility Options>Keyboard tab. Uncheck "Use sticky keys"
if it is marked. If it isn't. to right of "Use sticky keys" is a Settings
button; click on it. In next dialog, mark "Disable sticky keys by holding
down two keys at same time" (or similar wording).

Re-post if this doesn't work ( and I can't guarantee it will).
