I want to run Startup Repair on my system but when I boot to the DVD I
don't get the option. It just asks for the Activation Code and then
starts a reinstallation. What am I missing here?

How to automatically repair Windows Vista using Startup Repair
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

Is this a Retail copy of Vista or one supplied by the system
manufacturer [OEM] ?
If the latter, consult the manufacturer's web site to learn how to run
*their* Repair option.
