Click your Start button, click Run, type: msconfig
When the System Configuration Utility opens, click the Startup tab, check
through the list of items and see if you can find the entry for the item
that's opening on Startup, that you don't want to run on Startup. If you
find it, click to remove the checkmark in the box to the left of that item.
Then click the Apply and OK buttons at the bottom of the window. Then
reboot your system. You'll get a dialog box that says you've chosen
Selective Startup, click to select the option not to show that dialog box
again. Then subsequent boots won't show that dialog box. If you've
selected the correct item not to load, your problem should be solved. If
you've disable the wrong item, just go back to msconfig and click to put the
checkmark back.
