Startup Programs

How does one DISABLE a program from starting up? I know
how to go to the Startup folder under "all users" and can
disable some programs there - but LOTS of other programs
start up that aren't there. I can do it in W98 by going to
Accessories/System Tools/System information - it gives you
a Startup TAB and you can modify what gets Started up.
Comes in quite handy. It is not there in WinXP Pro. Where
is it? Thanks !!!

try clicking on "run" in start menu and typing msconfig.
then click on the "startup" tab and unclick the programs
you are looking for. Hope this helps. mp
