Startup Program Editing

I became infected with a virus that resets IE home page. I've found the offending bits by troubleshooting with msconfig. I've removed the "image.dll" file that was creating the problem, but now I get an error message "image.dll" file not found when I reboot. I can correct this by running in Selective Startup mode, but I'd rather remove the line item from startup altogether. I've checked add/remove programs and can't find a program that is kicking off the dll

Can the startup list be edited with something other than msconfig?

Don;
There are several ways.
But one of these might be the easiest.
Try #3, it will find the reference in the Registry
and allow you to fix it.
