Starting XP Pro

When I upgraded from XP Home to XP Pro I some how created a number of startup
options. At startup it gives me about 4 XP options to select for startup. I
know which one I want to use but want to get rid of the rest of the options.
Can anyone tell me how to do this, i.e., make it so there is only one XP
option to start up. Thanks

You can use the msconfig utility and under Boot.ini tab have it check
all boot paths and remove the invalid ones. Or you can edit the
boot.ini file directely, it is a hidden, read-only system file in the
root of the system drive (C:\boot.ini).
