Starting an Aftermarket ink faq

It's probably high time that we start an after market ink FAQ. To
this end anyone who has useful links to articles and tests, I'd
appreciate it if they post them here, positive or negative.

In this FAQ would like to include the major manufacturers of
aftermarket ink. Suppliers would also be useful.

The goal would be factual information for anyone interested in the
subject, which would include some of the disadvantages such as fading
with aftermarket ink, and risk to the printer if any.

So the first public question is who are the major aftermarket ink
manufacturers

Off the top of my head we have

Image Specialists
?media street (do they just get their supply from IS}
Formulabs.es (Sensient Technologies)

maintenance tips. sign in, check out the info there, and add to it. It is
a moderated forum that does not tolerate flaming, personal attacks, etc. no

Hey, Nifty is cool, but thus far I've not found an index of ink
manufacturers.

As I recall, there was either a thread or FAQ that was supposed to be for
listing inks that participants have used. Pose the question and one of the
long term participants may come up with the info. You may be able to start
the difinitive thread to which others would contribute. Give it a try.
