I dont know how it can still start up if you removed the program. Did you
uninstall the program or just delete the shortcut? or do you just get an
error message "[exename].exe not found".
Eitherway - check the start up folder in your start bar. If there is an
icon in there for your program remove it. If not, you will need to do
registry hunting for the exe name to see if you can find it. If you are
not comfortable with the registry I suggest you find a friend who is or have
a professional fix it for you. If you are, just do a search and delete any
keys with the exename - that look like they are auto activation type keys.
They are usually aptly named. Just be aware playing in the registry is
risky, and you can damage your system - so be warned - dont do it if you
arent sure. Making your own backups of the two reg files would be
advisable.
Alternatively, while the computer is booting, you could just hold down the
control key. This prevents all start up apps. It is also an "ambulance at
the bottom of the cliff" method of solving a problem.
