start up problems

Recently I have been having problems with my PC starting up. In fact just
started two days ago and never had a problem before.

When I push the power button the PC will power on and then immediately turn
back off. If I switch the master power switch off on the back for a few
seconds then I get the PC to power up longer--about half way through the
windows load before it shuts off again.

The only way I have found to get the system to stay on for the whole windows
load is to turn off the master power for several minutes. Then everything
loads fine and windows runs great.

I do not have a problem ugain until it goes into the sleep mode. Then it
just turns off and I have the start up problem again.

Also, if I turn off the computer properly, via the windows shut down, I also
have the start problem then.

Any suggestions?

I do not know if it is power supply or mother board issue.

I would suspect the Power Supply. If it has a fan make sure it is
spinning freely and disconnect the main power connector
to the Motherboard and reconnect. Turn off the Master Power Switch
first.
