Start Up Problem - Need MVP help!

I am trying to restore a backup using Powerquest Drive Image 5.0. I have
previously done this hundreds of times. The program is Dos based and
restarts the computer with Caldera DOS. When I try to run the program now I
get an error message "Err: 14 Automatic removal of fake floppy failed". In
checking error message fixes, it says antivirus software may be running and
to disable it. Have done all of that,but still get the error 14. I then have
to "press any key to return to my operating system".

I have a set of rescue disks for the drive image program, which successfully
starts the program. When I try to resore my last backup (from a D: partition
on my hard drive), I get another error message "Err:58 cannot write to
medium virus software may be running". (which it is not).

I would first like to get rid of this Err:14 on startup as it requires an
extra keystoke to boot up. Next I would appreciate any help as to why this
program (which has been a lifesaver at times) will not work.
Unfortunately Powerquest was bought by Symantic and they apparently do not
support my version of Drive Image anymore.
