Hello,
I have been having an error message now for some time and it is driving me
mad. It has become somewhat of an obsession in getting rid of this message.
On starting up and logging in i get a message along the lines of 'your system
pagefile is missing or too small' and goes on to say that windows has created
a temporary pagefile etc etc. Having trawled the internet and 'googled' every
possible variation of the above I cannot seem to find a fix for this. I have
tried tweaking all the options for setting the page file size but still get
the error message on re-start - apart from of course clicking the 'No paging
file' option - (I assume this is not a great idea even though I have plenty
of RAM (1Gb + 256Mb )??
So far I think I have established that the pagefile.sys is missing from my
system (I have allow hidden files and system files to be viewed and have
searched for the pagefile.sys without success) The temppf.sys file does of
course exist.
Can anyone give me a clue as to what to do.?
thanks
Steve
