Start playing sound from...

I have a presentation I've been working on using music
with the slides. The music will play and slides will
advance if I start the song from the beginning. If I
start, for example,02:35 seconds into the song on a slide,
the slide will not advance without double clicking. I am
using PP 2002. When I disable the new animation features
and go to "continue slide show" option, it is already
checked, so that doesn't work : ( Any other ideas? Thanks!

I believe at least one of the versions of PPT has a bug where the sound
won't play if it's started anywhere but the beginning. I can't ever remember
which versions it happens in, but PPT 2002 seems right -- especially since
that's the version you're experiencing this in.

You'll need to edit the sound in a sound recorder to strip out the first
part so PPT can play the sound from the "beginning."
