Knowing your OS would help.

Meantime, as a guess, check your Start Menu properties > Advanced > Scroll
Programs Menu.
If Scroll Programs Menu is checked, your programs will show as one single
list. Unchecked, it will show programs in columns, which are easier to read.

Hi VD,

1. Right click on an empty spot in the task bar.
2. Select "Properties"
3. Click on the "Advanced" tab
4. Click on the "Advanced" button under "Customize Start Menu"
5. Windows Explorer is started, located at the start menu folder.
6. Create folders like "Graphics", "Multi Media" and drag the right
programs to these folders.
7. After this is done, your start menu should be neatly organized, and a
lot shorter.

Like In_Parentheses said. I dont see how a piece of software could do
this for you.

My approach is similar to "In_Parentheses" response. I use Windows XP.
I just use my file manager and create new sub-folders under:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\*

Then you just use your file manager and drag and drop stuff into the
folders.

I currently have folders for malware programs, graphics, utilities,
Microsoft Office and media players.

Actually, the Start Menu items can appear under any user, but most will
show up under "All Users".

The only problem with doing this is that when you uninstall a program,
the moved short cuts will not be automatically be deleted. You will
have to manually delete them.
