Start Menu Icon

I inadverdantly "dragged" the Media Player icon from the
start menu to the Desktop while trying to put it on the
Quick Launch Taskbar. How do I return it to Start Menu.
Several tries to "pin to Start Menu" doesn't work as that
option never comes up after right clicking the icon.
Pleas help if you can. Thank you.

Hi,

Just perform a Windows XP system restore:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechn
ol/winxppro/maintain/XPSysRst.asp

Restore it to a date prior to which the icon was at the original place.

Place the shortcut to any of these folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu
C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Start Menu

or it's sub-folders where exactly you want the icon to appear.
