Start Button

I just bought a new laptop with Vista Home Premium. Everything I've read or
seen about it shows a round start button at the bottom. Mine has an XP-type
start button. Seems funny to me. How can I change it back? Or can I?

You apparently are using the Classic interface rather than the enhanced
graphics of the Aero theme. A machine sold with Vista Home Premium should
be able to support Aero, but of course you would need to look at your
system specs.

Try turning on the Aero theme in Control Panel>Personalization.

Hi, hopefully this'll help. Start -> R-click on My Computer ->
Advanced System Settings -> Advanced tab -> Performance settings
button -> Enable either of the following "Adjust for best performance"
or "Use visual styles on Windows and button".

Selecting "Adjust for best performance" gives you the XP look you
have. Not sure why you have this if you haven't selected it.

Sounds like you are in the Windows Classic theme. Try change it to the
Vista/Aero theme and you should be sorted
Right click on the desktop and select Personalize. Somewhere there you can
change the theme (Sorry not working on Vista right now)
