SQL Server Programs necessary?

I had great difficulty installing Home & School w/ word and excel because of
the multitude of components left over from the poor uninstall of MS Office
Small Business which had come on the computer with a 60 day trial.

After an item for item uninstall of what I considered remnants Office Small
Business, Home & School finally would install.

However I still have 4 components I'm unsure of, each an SQL server
program. (server 2005, server native client, server setup support, server
VSS writer). If they are not necessary I would uninstall them. Any
thoughts if they would also be remnants of Office Small Business ? Or were
they part of Vista Business? Or do they have other some purpose that I
don't know about like connecting to a home network?

For reference, I'm using Vista Business on a home computer. I'm not
currently connected to a home wi fi network, but probably will be in the
near future.

Thanks.

This would be best answered in the Office newsgroups

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.office.setup

The SQL Server software is for SQL Server database administration remotely
it looks like on the computer to access SQL Server on another machine.

You have no need for the SQL Server components on your machine, and no MS
O/S has SQL Server pre installed that I know about. The software is
standalone software dedicated to SQL Server administration, which you'll
never have a need for it, since you don't have access to a remote machine
hosting SQL Server nor is SQL Server database running on your machine
locally. You can uninstall the software if you like.
