Thanks for this.

Here's a question. Having Spywareblaster (as I do), I've always been
uncertain about using the 'immunise' function in Spybot S&D (which I use as
an extra scanner), because I was worried that using both forms of protection
might actually mess things up.

Does anyone know? Is it OK to use both? And if it is OK, is there any POINT
in using both?

Alan, go with this for a while until I get you a more definitive answer...

Note: If you use IE-SPYAD, Spybot Search & Destroy, SpywareGuide Blocklist,
SpywareBlaster, a hosts file or any combination of those, please check all protections
and re-enable as needed whenever any of the aforementioned is updated.

Always is better to go to the direct source, for a precise information.

Amongst those Forums, Engel, you //will// find similar warnings as to what
I previously posted.

Thank you.

Hi Randy,

warnings as to what I previously posted>>.

But no solutions.

No quiet true, here //only// you post what can we update, but what we need
are solutions, everybody is waiting for the answer Alan D. ask you.

I dont offer to Alan D any solution because like many users I stop to use
Spybot S&D.

Why did you stop using Spybot, Engel? Have you had a bad experience with it?

Hi Alan D,

For a while I use Spybot S&D (using the Immunization) with out problems, but
I don't know what happen and problems start to show in my system, so I fixed
un-installing Spybot.

Maybe by now, whatever cause my problems, are been fixed.

Since then, Ad-Aware, SpywareBlaster, Windows , Norton, SiteAdvisor, all
updated, Windows fire-wall, plus common sense are my line of defense,. To
redefine I practice Safe Hex.

So up to date I dont need Spybot S&D.

(I have a few links for Safe Hex, if you are interested, without problem I
can posted or e- mail to you)

Take care and safe computing practices.

Thanks Ron, although I don't understand exactly what you're pointing me
towards, nor how to get there. However, the guys at Spybot have already given
me a very good answer to my question here:
