Spybot Search and Destroy

I just ran spybot and while it was running i was watching the bottom of the
screen that shows what is being scanned. I saw things like wild tangent,
iphox, hot bar, gain.gator, evileye, something with "nude" it the name and
also "porn", plus lots of other things i dion't recognize. None of these
things show up in the findings to "fix".
I am running windows XP. I also use CCleaner, Ad-aware, McAfee Virus Scan
and spysweeper. Do i need to be concerned about these items?

Janice:

You are seeing the names of the malware that SS&D is looking for.

What you are seeing is the status of the program showing it scanning for
those items.

Hi Janice,
No, these Items are the Definitions of malwares/adwares which Spybot scan
for them they are not the one found on your computer.
Say you Visited a web site and this website downloaded the Hot bar on your
computer then spbyot definitions has this name so it will pick it up when you
do a scan on your system.
The only malwares/spywares you will see is the one in the Box when Spybot
finished the scan and gives you the report and the actions to take to fix the
threat been found.
So you don't need to worry it just the names that spybot
database/definitions look for while scanning.
HTH.

nass

No.

Those are the things it is looking for, not the things it's found.

If nothing shows up in the findings to "fix", then there is nothing to fix.

Wild Tangent is the name of a game provider... Of course, someone else
could just be using the name.
