When I go to update Ver. 1.2 of this program, I get a message that no
newer updates are available. This has been going on since the
beginning of May. Is this normal? S/ I get a newer version?

If you don't have luck with one location, try another, EON (Australia) or
Rootboxen seems to be good locations. But, the sites are just being
overwhelmed with so many people worldwide trying to get updates from so few
locations. You might try late at night, or very early in the morning to have
a better chance of getting an update faster. There is nothing wrong with
your program, they are all just very busy. Keep trying.

There was an update to the includes on 5/29/04 but I believe I read that
the updates only apply to the latest version 1.3 of the program. So, I
would suggest that you update the program first, as C.D. suggested, and
then get the latest includes. There was also a beta version of the includes
on 5/29/04. Normally, you want to steer clear of any beta software, but I
have found these to be very reliable. Only one bad one that I know of over
the years.

Many of the professionals involved closely with SpyBot are strongly urging
normal users not to download the Beta updates unless they 'really' know what
they are doing, as there may be problems. It is best that those who are not
familiar with Betaware should only download the regular updates.
