spoolsv.exe running at 98%

Lately the PC runs very slooooow. Task Manager shows that SPOOLSV.EXE runs
at 98% of the CPU.

Even though I had rebooted the PC many times, the spoolsv.exe comes back
each time. I had run anti-spyware program many times, but did not find
anything wrong. The virus definition file is the latest.

There is no print job. The three folders in windows\system32\spool are
empty.

How can I resolve this problem? Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks,

DF

Uninstall and reinstall the printer and check for updated drivers at the
printer manufacturer's website.

Hi Cari;

I have tried to delete the "printer", but could not. I did search
support.microsoft.com, but to no avail either. Please advise the steps to
uninstall the printer.

Thanks,

DF
