Split Text between two slides

PowerPoint 2003

I am trying to split text between two slides using the Autocorrect options
and I do not get given the option to split text between two slides I have
been told this isn't a feature in PowerPoint if it isn't a feature how do I
get the option to appear?

SarahWD,

simplest option is to "copy/duplicate" the slide in the slide sorter.

Then manually split/delete the text of each slide
