split screen in hyperballoid

when i start the game i get a split screen. there is a wide black space in
the middle and then the right side of the pic is on the left and the left
side of the pic is on the right. if i take a screenshot of this i get a full
pic. what can i do. i can't play the game as is. i do not have this problem
with any other games. i have uninstalled and reinstalled and the same thing
happens.

Try going into display properties and changing the display's vertical
refresh rate for the resolution the game runs in to the same refresh
rate your Windows desktop resolution is set for. Specific procedure may
vary, as different video accelerators have different advanced display
properties dialogs. You can usually start the process by right clicking
