spiking CPU, causing studdered sound

I first noticed the problem when listening to music on my
pc. The sound would studder during every other song. I
thought it was an issue with Musicmatch, but then noticed
it also did it with media player. I tried watching the
cpu usage in the task manager, however didn't see
anything spiking that bad. After I shutdown the Microsoft
real-time spyware tool, my problem went away. If I start
it backup manually it doesn't do it again, only when it
loads at startup, odd.........

Try this:
Goto: Start/Control Panel/Add-Remove programs/MSAS
then click on suport info!!!
Then click on repair!

If you are running Musicmatch 10, I'd consider removing
it. There's a program that runs in the background called
ShelllconHiddenWindow. From a little bit of Googling, I
found out that it might in fact be spyware. Also, once I
removed Musicmatch, my system performance also improved a
little bit.

Just thought I'd let you know.
