Spelling Word Forms Revisited

Guest

I am using Word 2003.
-I would like to be able to automatically run a spellcheck
on our files that checks the entire document and doesn't
tell me "Text marked do not check spelling/grammar was
skipped."

-We send our files to surveyors to use as "boilerplates,"
and all of the surveyors (approx. 500) need to be able
to use them and do spell checks on them easily and
effectively after they work with the boilerplates.

-Right now we are unable to run a spellcheck that will
automatically check _all_ text. Right now, some text is
skipped; some misspelled words are not checked. A message
comes up saying "Text marked do not check spelling/grammar
was skipped."

-I do know that to take off the grey checkmark
indicating "Do not check spelling/grammar," I can
supposedly simply Select-All and go to Tools and Language,
and remove the mark. But it is back as soon as close the
dialog box and open it again! A complete spellcheck is
sometimes done after this manual resetting of the mark,
but when I open the dialog box the checkmark is there
again.

Default language is English and only standard fonts are used (Arial & Times
New Roman)

Hi =?Utf-8?B?QW5kcmU=?=,

Are you able to isolate where the text is that is getting
re-set to "Do not check spelling or grammar"? If there's
something in common (in text boxes, for example, or all
formatted with the same style) that might help us track down
the problem.

Also, could you look in Tools/Templates and Addins and check
whether the option to "Update styles" is activated?
