Spell Checker Ofiice 97 Interface with Outlook Express in XP

Hi I hope this is the correct place to post this message.
I have Office 97 (with SR-1 and SR-2 patch applied) and
just put if on my new computer with runs windows XP (from
Dell). The Outlook Express program that came with XP does
not interface correctly with my Office 97 Word spell
checker. I receive the error "An error occurred while
spelling was being checked". I have reviewed the OE
problem report page and seen there was a problem with OE
and Office in the past. I verified that the registry has
the appropriate formating (IE: / at end of line). I have
OE 6.00.2800.1106. Windows XP home edition 5.1.2600
service pack 1 build 2600. Office 97 Word 97 SR-2. Is
there a fix for this bug? Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time. Gary
