Spell Checker in Word 2007

I have been using microsoft office 2007 for about a week now and have gotten
to know it rather well. Everything was fine until just this afternoon, the
English (US) spell checker in word stopped working. It works fine in outlook
and the Spanish checker is fine. I still get grammar suggestions (green
lines) but no spelling help (I’m sure you can tell). If I change to UK
English it works. I’ve look at the “do not check spelling†checkbox in the
language menu but it isn’t checked. I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Check if the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared
Tools\Proofing Tools\1.0\Override" exists and if it does delete it.
