Spell Checker Error

Sorry for the cross-posting but I wasn't sure what the best group is
to send this to. I just got a new PC and upgraded the WindowsXP
installation there to WindowsXP Pro. I have Office 97 installed and
am using Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1123. My spell checker works great
in Microsoft Word, but when I run it in Outlook Express I get a
warning message If I run the Spell Checker manually while I'm in the
New Message window, I get the error "An error occurred while the
spelling was being checked." If I let the Spell Check run
automatically when I send a message, I get the error: "The spell check
on this document was halted. Do you want to send anyway?" even though
I didn't do anything to halt it.

Does anyone know how to get this to work? I know it's an old version
of Office I'm using, and I'm guessing the spell check dictionary is
the same for both apps, but can't afford the upgrade right now.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the info Bruce, both on the error and on the best group to
post to. I'll check out the fix now.

My registry path is set up correctly, but I'm missing the file
"Csapi3t1.dll" which is supposed to reside in my "..\Microsoft
Shared\Proof" folder, and it doesn't exists anywhere else on my
system. Does anyone konw why this might be missing, and how I can get
a copy of that file?

Thanks again!

Found a great site for this problem at:
http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/spellcheck.htm, just thought I'd
pass it on.
