Spell Check

I have a word document that was created by the other person whom we are
sharing. I noticed that the document has misspelled words, however,
microsoft word auto feature is not working and when I run the spell check it
doesn't pick up the misspelled words either. When I open a new document the
spell check feature works up not on this document. Any ideas to resolve this
problem.
Note: I've attempted to copy and past to a new doc but the same thing
happens.

On the Spelling & Grammar tab of Tools | Options, make sure that "Hide
spelling errors in this document" is not checked. If that setting is
correct, then Ctrl+A to select the entire document and go to Tools |
Language | Set Language and make sure that the correct language is selected
and that "Do not check spelling or grammar" is not checked.
