Spell check says: proofing tools not found. English

When I try to spell check a pop up says: Proofing tools not found English.

I have Windows XP.

The Windows version is hardly relevant, but the Word version would have been
useful. Re-run Office setup and ensure the proofing tools are installed. If
they are repair the installation and if necesary uninstall them, then
reinstall them to ensure the registry entries are re-written.
