Hi Don,
It's a feature that some of the 3rd party speech recognition
products offer such Dragon
http://scansoft.com/naturallyspeaking/
and there are some 3rd party utilities to have the computer
think a wav input would be microphone input, but using a
handheld recorder with .wav file isn't a feature in the
MS Speech engine (
http://microsoft.com/speech) implementation
in Word, partially because the 'learning' has both a person
and a machine specific profile to it.
=========
Is it possible to use a .wav file as the input for the speech tools in Word
2003? I want to dictate to a recorder and transcribe it later.
Thanks!
