Specified file in rule changes

I've made a rule for Outlook 2007 to say that every time a message
arrives in a specified account it should be moved to a specified
folder. Every time I say Okay or Apply, the account changes to a
different account. Other rules like this pointing to different
accounts work fine. Deleting and recreating the rule makes no
difference.

Any thoughts?
Thanks.

It's a POP account. The ISP is Comcast. I have no other problem with a
similar rule for another Comcast account nor for rules for pop
accounts from other providers.

It's just weird. Any suggestions gratefully received.

It should work on pop3. Is this a totally separate address or is it in a
catchall account where many addresses use the same inbox?

If I understand the question, it is a totally separate address. (It is
one of several different addresses I have at Comcast.) In fact, when I
say Apply after setting up the rule, the account changes-while i
watch- to one from a different ISP.

Hello. I have the same problem. I just purchased a new PC with Outlook 2007
and imported my rules from Outlook 2003. The rule worked fine in 2003 but not
in 2007. I cannot get the rule to keep the same account that I want it to
check and move incoming mail to a specified folder. It continually
substitutes another email account no matter if it is moved up or down in the
rules list.
