Speakers

I cant get my new computer to reconize my speakers. Tried to trouble shoot it
and didnt work. Yes they worked using Xp on my old computer but now they
arent found. Any advice?

Speakers are pretty basic things. You plug them in and they work ..... or
they don't.

Have you plugged them into the correct socket (stupid question, but .... ?)

Try them on a friend's PC - do they work there ?

If you've tried the above, then we need more info - what is your sound
card - onboard or PCI ? And the make, in both cases.

Yess they are pluged into the correct slot and they work on anothers
computer. THe speakers are from logitech and the sound is on board.

OK, try somebody elses speakers - do they work ?

If not, try this :

Start > Control Panel > Sounds And Audio Devices > Audio > make sure your
soundcard/device is selected as the Sound Playback Device.

Also, try right clicking on My Computor > Properties > Hardware > Device
Manager > any yellow triangles against your soundcard entry ?
