Spanish dictionary fails in Powerpoint

At the company I work for, we are using Office 2000. We can get the Spanish
dictionary to work in Word, but not in PowerPoint. I've gone through all the
normal steps, adding the Spanish dictionary from Office tools, but when
trying to use spell check in PowerPoint, I get the following error,
PowerPoint couldn't find the spelling file for Spanish (Mexico).

Change from Spanish (Mexico) to Spanish (Spain-Traditional Sort)

no other "localized" Spanish (from México to Chile) will work in PowerPoint
2000.
